Established in 1978, the Western Australia College of Agriculture – Morawa has its roots in the arrival of the first residential students who came seeking specialized agricultural education in Morawa. These students were accommodated in the quarters originally used by single men employed at the nearby iron ore mine. During the day, the students carried out work and studies on the 200-hectare farm, where the majority of the current buildings are located.
