School History & Details

A block of land along Petir Road, where a temple with a well once stood, was designated for the construction of the school. It was believed that people who were cleansed in the well's waters would experience good fortune. The institution was given the name "West Spring Secondary School" about the location of the property parcel. Zhenghua Secondary School hosted the school when it first opened its doors in 2001. A new tract of property along Senja Road was assigned in place of the school's original parcel of land. While the new school was being built, the school was housed at the old Teck Whye Secondary School.
