About 270 boys attend Westminster Cathedral Choir School (WCCS), a boarding and day preparatory school in the Victoria neighbourhood of Westminster. The institution opened its doors in the year 1902. WCCS is a Catholic, academically selective preparatory school for boys in grades Reception through 8, twenty-two of whom are boarding choristers who begin attending in Year 4. For their age, the school want boys to demonstrate a high level of cultural literacy. Boys learn about "the best that has been known and said" at a level that is appropriate for each Year Group.
