Whitley Secondary School (WSS) is a co-educational government secondary school located in Bishan, Singapore. It was founded in 1965 and is named after Sir Thomas Whitley, the first Director of Education in Singapore.
WSS is a six-year Integrated Programme (IP) school, which means that students can skip the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level (O-Level) examinations and go straight to junior college after completing their secondary education.
The school has a strong academic record and has consistently been ranked among the top schools in Singapore. In 2022, WSS was ranked 11th out of 414 secondary schools in Singapore.
WSS also has a strong emphasis on sports and the arts. The school has won numerous awards in sports competitions, including the National Schools Games. WSS also has a thriving arts scene, with students participating in a variety of activities, such as drama, music, and dance.
WSS is a vibrant and diverse school with a strong sense of community. The school is committed to providing all students with a quality education and to helping them reach their full potential.
