Wisbech Grammar School is located in Wisbech, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England. It is one of the oldest schools in the nation and was established by the Guild of the Holy Trinity in 1379. The School has contributed to town life for more than 600 years, and the awarding of Wisbech's charter in 1549 was made possible in large part by its presence. In a tiny room located over the south porch of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, the first academics convened in 1379. The School has inhabited several locations in the town, including

Non-Academic Achievements

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is completed by students at various levels, and the school also organises trips to a range of destinations in the Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia, and the Lake District. There is a long-standing exchange programme between the school and the Willibrord Gymnasium in Emmerich, North Germany. There is also a vacation to a château for second-year students and a research trip to France. Young Enterprise allows lower sixth formers to participate, and in 2010 the school companies won first and second place for "Best Company" in the Peterborough region and placed second overall in the regional finals. For the third year in a row, the design department of the school's entry in the Greenpower competition to create an electric racing car reached the national finals.
