Hebrew University of Jerusalem is a public university which was established in the year 1918. The university is located in Jerusalem and is the second oldest university in Israel. The university is divided into the following four campuses: Mount Scopus, Edmond J. Safra, Givat Ram, Ein Kerem, and Rehovot.
Hebrew University of Jerusalem comprises seven faculties: Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Mathematics & Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Food & Environment, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Dental Medicine. The university has twelve schools such as: School of Business Administration, Rachel & Selim Benin School of Computer Science & Engineering, Paul Baerwald School of Social Work & Social Welfare, Braun School of Public Health And Community Medicine, School of Pharmacy, The Seymour Fox School of Education, Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Federmann School of Public Policy & Government, Advanced School of Environmental Studies, Rothberg International School, Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences, and Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School Advanced Studies in the Humanities. The university has more than 100 research centers and 315 academic departments. A third of all the doctoral candidates in Israel are studying at the Hebrew University.
