Established in 1858, the Iowa State University is public flagship, land-grant and space-grant research university located in Ames, Iowa, United States. It is the largest university in the state of Iowa and is classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as a Research University with very high research activity.
Iowa State comprises of various colleges and schools: College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College of Design, Engineering, Graduate, Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Ivy College of Business, Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication and the School of Education.
