Kagoshima University is a Japanese university located in Kagoshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The university was established in the year 1949 after the merger of Seventh Higher School, Kagoshima College of Agriculture and Forestry, and Kagoshima College of Fisheries. The university’s origin lies in HangakuZoshikan School, which was established in 1773.
