Established in 1818, the Saint Louis University (SLU) is a private Roman Catholic four-year research university with campuses in St. Louis, Missouri, United States and Madrid, Spain. It is the oldest university west of the Mississippi River and the second-oldest Jesuit university in the United States. The university is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. In addition to its main location in Missouri, the university also has a campus in Madrid, Spain, where students can study for the entirety of their college career or for just a semester.
SLU offers about 100 undergraduate programs and 80 post-baccalaureate programs, along with programs adapted to working adults at both the undergraduate and graduate levels including 25 completely online programs.
