Established in 1865, the University of Kansas (often referred as KU) is a public research university in the state of Kansas, U.S.A. The university has its main campus located in Lawrence and the university’s medical school and hospital in Kansas City. The university also has educational and research sites in Parsons, Topeka, Garden City, Hays, and Leavenworth, and branches of the medical school in Wichita and Salina.
The university offers more than 350 degree programs with 190 undergraduate programs in science, arts and humanities and nearly 50 graduate programs that are ranked nationally.
