Established in 1866, the University of Wyoming is a land grant public university located in Laramie, Wyoming. The campus is situated between two mountain ranges in the south east corner of the state. The university’s Outreach School has nine regional centers across the state, with several on community college campuses, to give Wyoming residents access to a university education without relocating to Laramie.

The university comprises for 11 schools and colleges such as College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education, College of Engineering and Applied Science, College of Health Sciences, College of Law, Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources, UW at a Distance, School of Energy Resources and Graduate Education. UW offers 80 undergraduate and more than 90 graduate programs. Its academic programs of distinction are focused in six broad areas: science and technology, the arts and humanities, environment and natural resources, life sciences, and professions critical to the state and region. The most popular programs of the university include Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse; Psychology; Elementary Education and Teaching; Criminal Justice/Safety Studies; and Business Administration and Management.
