Dr McCague is a Senior Lecturer (Education) and the MPharm Programme Director for Student Support and Engagement at the School of Pharmacy. He is involved in teaching pharmacology and clinical pharmacy throughout the four years of the MPharm degree programme. Paul also delivers the teaching on Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutics and Advanced Clinical Practice programmes. Dr McCague has a strong commitment to research led teaching and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). He has disseminated numerous educational initiatives at national and international conferences as well as publication in peer reviewed journals. Dr McCague is a registered pharmacist and has worked in both community and hospital pharmacy settings over the past twelve years, and continues to carry out locum work. He is a Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Paul was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2019.
