Gershan Davis is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK and Consultant Cardiologist at North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust, UK. He is academic lead for the UCLan West Lakes phase 2 MBBS programme and previously Course Lead for Hospitalist Medicine MSc programme. After graduating from the University of the West Indies, Gershan did postgraduate training in London and Manchester, England obtaining his research MD from University of Manchester, UK. He did a travelling research fellowship at Harvard University, Boston, USA and sub-speciality interventional cardiology training in Auckland, New Zealand and Boston, USA. He holds MSc in Medical Education from University of Liverpool, UK and MSc in Medical Leadership and Management from Edge Hill University, UK. His background is in Clinical Cardiology and Medical Education with a career spanning 30 years in medical practice.   His research interests include imaging of the coronary arteries, effect of obesity on heart rhythm disturbances and clinical education.
