Know about our Speaker

Dr. Shazia Zakir

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Dr. Shazia Zakir completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Nottingham and is currently pursuing further training. She is also a Brighter Prep Education Group student success story, having begun her journey with our guidance.

She also holds a Bachelor of Medical Sciences, reflecting her strong academic performance.

She has gained broad clinical experience across multiple specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, psychiatry, and obstetrics and gynaecology, through placements at various NHS trusts. Her academic interests are complemented by specialized study modules in paediatric cardiology and academic neurology, where she developed strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.

Shazia has a particular interest in cardiovascular medicine, demonstrated through her research on Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure and presentations at international conferences.

Alongside her academic work, she has held leadership roles in university societies and actively contributed to community initiatives through volunteering. She remains committed to improving patient care, with a focus on prevention and clinical excellence.
