Intakes in New Zealand

There are primarily two study intakes in New Zealand which are January and July whereas the New Zealand universities provide separate admissions intakes for vocational programs in the month of March, April, and May.

January Intake – January intake implies starting your college from the beginning of the year. The academic calendar starts from the month of January or February and continues till June. This intake is more ideal for students who wish to take a gap year or want to do some research and join some short-term courses before they go abroad.

July intake – July intake refers to starting college in the second half of the year. The academic calendar starts in July and continues till November. The New Zealand intake for July is usually preferred by the students since they prefer not to hamper their education process and start right away after their +2 results.
