Prof Dr Lachezar Tsotsorkov Distinguished Scholarship

The Prof. Dr. Lachezar Tsotsorkov Distinguished Scholarship is offered by the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) to the students who show commitment towards community service and social cause. This scholarship is available to undergraduate Bulgarian students in AUBG however preference is given to students from the region of Panagyurishte if all the requirements are met. 

Eligibility Criteria/Scholarship Guidelines 

To be eligible, an applicant:

- Should show commitment towards social causes and community service and already be engaged with a social cause in Bulgaria.

- Should possess an NGO work experience.

- Should demonstrate good technical and project management skills through his or her work in projects related to social cause.

- Above average Grades from High School will be an added advantage to your application. 

- A score of an English proficiency test to be submitted.

Following scores will meet the eligibility:

- 1) TOEFL iBT - a minimum score of 80 and above, 

- 2) ITP - a minimum score of 550 and above, 

- 3) rPDT - a minimum score of 60 and above, 

- 4) PTE – a minimum score of 59 and above, or 

- 5) IELTS - a minimum band of 6.5 and above 

NOTE – If an applicant meets all the requirements mentioned above then the next important eligibility criterion is, for the applicant, to be from the region of Panagyurishte.

Value
The scholarship grant covers full tuition fee for the four year course study in AUBG.

Deadline
FALL SEMESTER: March - For early admission and financial aid, June - For regular admission and financial aid, SPRING SEMESTER: October - for non-EU citizens, November - for EU citizens.

Validity
The scholarship is valid for 4 years of study.
