The Schlumberger Gould research facility is a distinctive marquee-like structure dominating the High Cross site on the western outskirts of Cambridge. The building houses over 930 M2 of laboratory area and offices for over 100scientists and technicians.
Research focuses on drilling, chemistry, fluid mechanics, and seismic. In every domain, SGR combines 3 strands of research: theory, experiment, and computational simulation. Research groups are multidisciplinary, chemistry, embracing physics, materials science, statistics, mathematics, earth sciences, solid and fluid mechanics, computer science, and instrumentation.
Schlumberger works with the Cambridge Trust to supply the Schlumberger Cambridge International Scholarship, offered to Ph.D. Candidates in subjects relevant to the work of the Schlumberger Gould research Centre.
