Students who receive a Carnegie Mellon Undergraduate award may be eligible to receive a named endowed scholarship. These scholarships are funded by donors who are devoted to supporting Carnegie Mellon and its students. Some donors are alumni, who were themselves the beneficiaries of student aid. Scholarships are granted to students who meet certain qualifications as allocated by the donor.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
A named endowed scholarship does not change the total amount of financial aid awarded; rather, endowed scholarships are university resources that fulfill a portion of the university-sponsored grant funding awarded to the student.
Students applying for financial aid are automatically taken into consideration for these funds. Selection is based on a student’s match with a donor’s criteria.
There is no separate application process.
