Scholarships and grants are a form of financial aid awarded to students for the purpose of paying all or part of their college expenses. Eligibility for scholarships and grants is determined through a review of both financial need and merit. Unlike loans, scholarships and grants do not have to be repaid by the student.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Incoming first-year and returning undergraduate students can apply for this scholarship.
Carnegie Mellon University will offer this award in addition to the current NROTC Scholarship offered by the Navy.
NROTC Scholarship recipients who complete the regular financial aid application process may also be eligible to receive federal, state and further university grant funds as part of their financial aid package. However, by law, all award and scholarship funds cannot overtake the student's calculated cost of attendance.
There is no separate application process.
