The A. James Clark Scholars Program at Duke supports students of need who exhibit strong academic and leadership potential. The Clark Scholars Program is the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation’s signature academic program, combining engineering, business, leadership and community service.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
To apply, you must be:
A Duke University Pratt School of Engineering incoming first-year student.
Qualified for need-based financial aid.
Interested in founding new ventures at the intersection of business and engineering.

To apply, submit a brief online application that includes a 500-word essay describing your experiences and your perspective on leadership.
Value
Scholars receive up to $10,000 per year to offset loans, and work-study and summer work requirements, so that they can follow their passion for making an impact through innovation. Ten students are chosen from each entering class.
