The Cooke Young Scholars Program is awarded by Jack Kent Cooke Foundation for the high performing 7th-grade students of the United States. The scholarship program helps scholars prepare at the nation’s top colleges and universities to prosper in life. Regardless of race, ethnic background, and region - rural, suburban and urban communities’, the top-performing students are considered for this scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant:
- Should be a citizen or resident of the United States.
- Should be willing to attend high school in the United States.
- Should demonstrate financial need with the gross family income not exceeding $95,000.
- Should have received A’s in most of the subjects with no C’s or less specially in Language/English, Math, Science, Arts, History, Social Studies and Foreign Language.
How to Apply:
The student can apply for the scholarship by submitting the application form along with the required documents online.
The scholarship is not just aimed to provide financial support to students but also selects the best fit school to the scholar, sets goal based on the scholar’s strength, plans year-round programs, funds extra-curricular activities and many more. This program selects 50 scholars every year.
The scholarship is valid for a selective five year period from the time of application.
