UNCF Ladders of Hope Scholarship

The Ladders of Hope Scholarship offers 6 scholarships to college freshmen who are enrolled as a full-time student at any UNCF colleges or university. This scholarship is open for African Americans who are the permanent residents of South Los Angeles and/or the surrounding area.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines

To be eligible for the scholarship an applicant:

- Should be an African American who is a U.S. Citizen

- Should have a minimum GPA of 2.5

- Should complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form and must provide substantial proof for an unmet financial aid

The student can apply for the scholarship by submitting the application form online.

Value
The Scholarship provides a renewable grant of up to $5000 to 6 scholars every academic year.
