University of BathThis course is for engineers who want to apply fundamental mechanical engineering knowledge to the challenges of the automotive industry including areas such as cost, emissions, performance and materials. The first two years of study introduce you to core mechanical engineering principles to give you a strong foundation in the subject. Using physical science, mathematics and computing, you'll learn how to analyse engineering systems. You ll study vehicle design, manufacturing processes and component analysis in the context of the automotive market. A range of specialist units in your final year allow you to choose where you want to advance your knowledge.
The typical A-Level offer is: A*AA, IB: 36. Minimum percentage required (12 standard or HSC) 85%. IELTS: 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in all components or equivalent. Personal statement and work experience required.
