Computer science and computer engineering majors considering a master of science degree may apply for admission to the combined B.S./M.S. program. Up to nine credits of approved graduate-level courses may be applied to the bachelor's degree. According to UMBC Graduate School policy, students in the combined program must maintain a total GPA of 3.0 or higher. By the time a student has earned nine graduate credits, he or she must have completed the regular application process for formal admittance to the M.S. program.
