Applied exercise physiologists study science and its application to how the body responds to physical activity. Gannon’s applied exercise physiology program provides advanced training in human performance with a focus in biochemistry, nutrition, psychology, physiology, and sport and clinical exercise physiology so you can improve the performance of elite athletes, recreational movers and the sedentary. Undergraduate students can complete the SES in a five-year option and post-baccalaureate students finish in one year. Application Official transcripts. Submit official transcripts showing an undergraduate degree in exercise science, kinesiology, human performance, sports medicine or related field. Minimum 3.0 overall GPA and minimum 3.0 prerequisite GPA Successful applicants will have preparation in the sciences that may include coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, anatomy/physiology and/or exercise physiology. 3 letters of recommendation. Official copies of academic records from each college/university attended, accompanied by official English translations. TOEFL iBT: 79 or IELTS 6.5 overall. GRE may be waived if GPA is 3.0 or higher A 750 word essay (describe personal goals and how this degree will help you pursue them) Current Resume/CV Successful interview with at least two members of the admissions committee Submit the affidavit of support form which is required for verification of financial resources in order to issue the I-20. Original bank statements verifying account balances & Original letters from bank officials written in English on bank letterhead verifying the account holder, account number and current balance in U.S. dollars.
