Program Overview

The Accelerated Master of Science degree in Criminalistics (MSC) is a broad master’s program that will provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to apply analytical and scientific methods to criminal investigation.  The curriculum offers exposure to crime scene investigation and evidence techniques, as well as legal issues, expert testimony, trace evidence, physical evidence, crime mapping and current topics within the field of crime scene investigation.  It is our goal to take students from the crime scene, to the forensic laboratory and finally to providing expert testimony in a court of law.

Additional Information & Requirements

Application Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Official transcripts. Writing Sample Two letters of recommendation Official copies of academic records from each college/university attended, accompanied by official English translations. TOEFL iBT: 79 or IELTS 6.0 overall. GRE may be waived if GPA is 3.0 or higher ACT 34 (criminal records check) required for full acceptance to program Submit the affidavit of support form which is required for verification of financial resources in order to issue the I-20. Original bank statements verifying account balances & Original letters from bank officials written in English on bank letterhead verifying the account holder, account number and current balance in U.S. dollars.
