Build on your successes in the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences by completing Honours to enhance essential employability skills or take your first step to a career in research, academia and beyond. Mentored by expert staff from La Trobe's School of Life Sciences, you'll develop a variety of scientific techniques by conducting your own research project. To complement your research, essential laboratory, scientific communication and presentation skills established during your undergraduate degree will be consolidated through workshops and exercises. You'll also be exposed to leading edge methodologies as part of a competitive research team.
An average mark of 65 per cent or more in 60 credit points of relevant subjects and a minimum average of 60 per cent across all third-year subjects are eligible for entry to an Honours year, IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, PTE Academic of 50 with no communicative skill score less than 50, CAE/ CPE of 169 with no less than 169 in any component
