La Trobe University History
La Trobe University is an Australian public university is in the city of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. The university was founded in year 1964 after the La Trobe University Act was passed by the parliament of state of Victoria. The university is named after Charles Joseph de La Trobe, who was the first governor of the state.

La Trobe University comprises of two colleges which are the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Commerce, and College of Health, Sciences, and Engineering. These colleges are further classified into several schools and offer programs ranging from diplomas, undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, and doctoral programs.

1. La Trobe College Excellence Scholarships
The La Trobe College Excellence Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit by La Trobe University to all students except citizens of Australia and New Zealand. The students studying an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at the university can apply for this scholarship.
2. Alumni Advantage Scholarships
The Alumni Advantage Scholarships are offered by La Trobe University to all local and international students who have previously studied at the university and are intending to pursue any postgraduate program at the university.
