The Bachelor of Accounting and Finance is a specialist three year full-time or part-time equivalent degree offering a comprehensive course in the theory and applications of accounting and finance. The course involves units in accounting that allow graduates to be simultaneously recognized as accounting and finance professionals. Unlike pure accounting degrees, the Bachelor of Accounting and Finance offers a broader understanding of financial instruments, institutions, markets and systems. It involves the study of financial decision-making under uncertainty, which is applicable to banking, financial consulting and planning, funds management, merchant banking, stockbroking and treasury.
