Program Overview

Become a leader in the special events sector through this course. We offer a combination of practical skills and business theory, teaching you how to make effective project management decisions. Your subjects will cover management, marketing, economics, business law, accounting and finance, along with specialised event management studies that give you the skills you need to plan and organise festivals and community events. This course also develops your knowledge of sustainability issues and how they affect the organisation of community events. We place a particular focus on the development of entrepreneurship, which is vital for the promotion and success of professional, sporting, cultural and community events. To build practical experience, you'll have the chance to plan, deliver and evaluate student-led events on and off campus, and work with our industry partners throughout your degree.

Additional Information & Requirements

Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent. IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0, TOEFL Paper-based Test - a minimum overall score of 550 with a score of 5 or more in the Test of Written English, a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English.
