Bachelor of Business (Marketing)

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Wollongong

Program Overview

This program gives you a solid foundation across all the key areas of business — accounting, finance, management, marketing, and more — before letting you specialise in marketing. You’ll explore consumer behaviour, communications, brand strategy, and creative marketing approaches. It’s perfect for someone who’s curious, enjoys working with people, and wants to combine analytical thinking with creative flair.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1
In your first year, you’ll get a broad overview of the business world. You’ll study subjects such as Accounting for Decision Making, Economic Essentials for Business, Introductory Principles of Finance, Introduction to Management, and Marketing Principles. This foundation gives you the chance to explore different business areas and figure out if marketing — or another major — is the right fit for you.

Year 2
Your second year is where you start to specialise. You’ll dive deeper into marketing concepts like Consumer Behaviour and may choose electives in communications or market research. You’ll also continue building your core business skills, sharpening your analytical thinking and strategic decision-making.

Year 3
In your final year, you’ll bring everything together in a capstone subject, where you tackle a real-world business problem, often collaborating with students from other majors. You’ll also have the option to complete an internship, giving you hands-on experience and academic credit at the same time.
