Program Overview

Curriculum Structure

Year 1

In the first year, students build strong foundations in both arts and business disciplines. Core subjects such as Time, Truth, and the Human Condition (BA1001), Accounting for Decision Making (BU1002), and Introduction to Management Concepts and Application (BU1104) introduce critical thinking, business fundamentals, and an understanding of social and cultural issues. Students also explore Australian society through Australian People: Indigeneity and Multiculturalism (SS1010).

Year 2

During the second year, students begin to deepen their knowledge within their chosen majors while developing practical business expertise. Subjects such as Marketing Matters (BU2108) and Business Law (BU2111) strengthen understanding of consumer markets, organisational operations, and legal frameworks, while additional arts major subjects allow students to explore specialised areas of interest.

Year 3

The third year focuses on advanced disciplinary knowledge and real-world application. Students continue with upper-level subjects from their selected Arts and Business majors while participating in Work Integrated Learning experiences that connect classroom theory with professional practice and industry engagement.

Year 4

In the final year, students consolidate their learning through professional experience and advanced interdisciplinary study. Opportunities such as Professional Internship (BU3101), Multi-Disciplinary Project (BU3102), or Independent Project (BU3103) enable students to apply their knowledge in authentic workplace or project settings while preparing for graduate employment.
