3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Melbourne

Program Overview

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at the University of Wollongong is designed for students who want to understand how brands earn attention, build loyalty and shape consumer decisions. You’ll explore the creative side of marketing—like storytelling, branding and communication—while also developing strong analytical skills through research, strategy and data-driven decision-making. It’s a great fit if you’re curious about why people buy what they buy, enjoy thinking creatively, and want a career that blends business insight with real-world impact.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1
Your first year builds a solid foundation in business. You’ll study subjects such as Marketing Principles, Economic Essentials for Business and Statistics for Business. This year helps you understand how organisations work, what drives markets, and how business decisions are made. It sets you up with the confidence to tackle more specialised marketing subjects later.

Year 2
In second year, you’ll begin diving deeper into marketing. Subjects like Consumer Behaviour, Brand Management and Marketing Research introduce you to how customers think, how brands earn trust, and how research guides smart strategic choices. You’ll still draw on your broader business knowledge, giving you a well-rounded perspective.

Year 3
Your final year is all about applying everything you’ve learned. Through capstone subjects and advanced marketing units—such as Services Marketing or Digital Strategy—you’ll work on real-world briefs, collaborate with classmates and practise solving business problems just like a marketing professional. This year helps you build the portfolio and experience employers look for.
