A candidate shall:(a) hold an AQF Level 7 four year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University or tertiary institution; or(b) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree and an AQF Level 7 or Level 8 or Level 9 one or two year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University; or(c) for the Music Specialisation/Major only, in addition to satisfying rule (a) or (b) above, candidates must have: (i) a performing standard equivalent to Grade 6 of the Australian Music Examinations Board demonstrated via audition or music performance qualifications, and (ii) a music theory standard equivalent to Grade 4 of the Australian Music Examinations Board demonstrated via music performance qualifications or the successful completion of a music theory test set by the Music Discipline Convenor; or(d) for the Fourth Year Upgrade Program only, hold a three-year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University or tertiary institution, and be conditionally accredited to teach by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), or interstate equivalent.
