Australian studies is a socio-cultural analysis of a changing nation and its people. This program of study brings together a wide range of topics from the humanities, education and social sciences to give students a broad perspective of Australian culture and society and the opportunity to investigate aspects of both in considerable detail. Core topics are offered in First Year, and students then choose from a range of Second and Third Year topics offered in history, sociology, screen studies, women s studies, cultural studies, cultural tourism, archaeology, legal studies, geography, literature, politics, philosophy, modern Greek, Italian, education and a number of other disciplines. Australian studies also works closely with Indigenous studies.
