Flinders University is a public research university based in Adelaide, Australia. The University came into existence in the year 1966 and was named in the honor of British Navigator and Cartographer Matthew Flinders. The University first started with the Flinders Medical Center and then later on from the year mid 1970 it started it work to establish buildings of Law and Commerce, Engineering, and Information Science and technology. Flinders University Housing/ Accomodations services
On-campus: Living on-campus always has its own perks as you get everything you need at your fingertips. Flinders On-campus offers two experiences: the catered, collegiate-style University Hall and the self-contained units of Deirdre Jordan Village. The residential halls have walking distances to classes at Bedford Park and Sturt Campuses and also have easily accessible transport services connecting them to the main academic buildings. These accommodations comes with all utilities and free wifi access.
The University hall accomodates around 200 students in fully furnished single rooms.
Room rates (per week):
$362 for a single room on levels 1 and 2
$402 for a single room on levels 3 and 4 (fully renovated bathrooms and kitchenettes).
The Deirdre Jordan Village provides Accomodations for atleast 350 residents in self-catered, fully-equipped units. The village also has a community center, two central laundries, outdoor recreation and barbeque areas.

Off-campus: The Flinders University’s convenient location and so many transport and accommodation options available, living off campus is easy.The majority of students live in suburbs along the major transport corridors of South Road, Fiveash Drive, Goodwood Road or Sturt Road. City accommodation is often on a direct bus route to the Bedford Park campus. 1. Australian Government Research Training Program AGRTP International Scholarships at University of Flinders
The Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Scholarships (International) purpose is to specifically support international pupils to undertake a research higher degree at Flinders University.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
• Candidates are expected to satisfy the University’s academic entry requirements for a Master’s degree by research or Doctorate by research.
• Candidates are required to have successfully completed at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honors degree (this is a four-year degree with a major research project in the final year)
• Candidates are expected to have met the English proficiency levels set by Flinders University for international students at the time of application. Pupils for whom English is a foreign language will need to provide evidence of their English language competence.
• Candidates are expected to not hold an equivalent research higher degree qualification. Applications will only be available to pupils commencing a research higher degree in Australia for the first time.
• Candidates are expected to not hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident status or New Zealand citizenship.
