Flinders University is a public research university based in Adelaide, Australia. The University came into existence in the year 1966 and was named in the honor of  British Navigator and Cartographer Matthew Flinders. The University first started with the Flinders Medical Center and then later on from the year mid 1970 it started it work to establish buildings of Law and Commerce, Engineering, and Information Science and technology. The University though started small is now considered to be one of the best Universities in South Australia.

The Flinders University Libraries holds more than a million books and journals, large electronic collections, and a wide range of services and facilities to support the teaching and research interests of University staff and students. Flinders University Housing/ Accomodations services

On-campus: Living on-campus always has its own perks as you get everything you need at your fingertips. Flinders On-campus offers two experiences: the catered, collegiate-style University Hall and the self-contained units of Deirdre Jordan Village. The residential halls have walking distances to classes at Bedford Park and Sturt Campuses and also have easily accessible transport services connecting them to the main academic buildings. These accommodations comes with all utilities and free wifi access. 

The University hall accomodates around 200 students in fully furnished single rooms. 

Room rates (per week):

$362 for a single room on levels 1 and 2

$402 for a single room on levels 3 and 4 (fully renovated bathrooms and kitchenettes).

The Deirdre Jordan Village provides Accomodations for atleast 350 residents in self-catered, fully-equipped units. The village also has a community center, two central laundries, outdoor recreation and barbeque areas.

Off-campus: The Flinders University’s convenient location and so many transport and accommodation options available, living off campus is easy.The majority of students live in suburbs along the major transport corridors of South Road, Fiveash Drive, Goodwood Road or Sturt Road. City accommodation is often on a direct bus route to the Bedford Park campus. Suburbs close to Flinders University, Bedford Park campus and accessible by public transport are Bedford Park, Clovelly Park, Edwardstown, Melrose Park, St Marys, Mitchell Park, Flagstaff Hill, Panorama, Pasadena and Sturt. Flinders University Medical Services

Flinders University has a well-equipped medical center with fully trained practitioners and staffs. All the enrolled students and the faculties and staffs are eligible to access their medical services. The medical services offered by the medical center are as follows:

Flinders University Student societies are actively conducting various events in the university. the student clubs and organisations give the students an opportunity to learn different skills, plan and execute events and also widen their horizons. there are different clubs in the campus working towards different agendas. their clubs and organizations cover a wide range of activities and interests, from academic societies, the arts, club sports and intramurals, to activity and event coordinators, and leadership programs. The Flinder University Student Association is the union that takes the responsibilities of all the activities and events. Flinders University Sports and Fitness motive is to provide students with all opportunities related to sports and games. There are 23 sports clubs of the University to get involved in.
