Program Overview

A History major gives you the tools to understand how the world got to where it is today, and to examine how social, political and cultural change could happen in the future. In this major you are taken from the ancient world of myth through to the present day, and are offered a range of geographical perspectives from Australia, Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia. You will address key themes such as the nature of the historical imagination, the rise and decline of empires, mass migration, human rights and environmental sustainability.

All Indian Secondary School Certificate: 70%, Average of best five subjects, a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English, IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, PTE Academic of 50 with no communicative skill score less than 50, CAE/ CPE of 169 with no less than 169 in any component
