Pursue your vision for a career in orthoptics. La Trobe's Bachelor of Orthoptics (Honours) gives you the knowledge you need to detect, diagnose and manage vision and eye problems in both children and adults. Starting in first year you'll undertake over 500 hours of clinical experience in hospitals with dedicated eye clinics and complete a placement at a partner clinic in regional Australia, interstate or overseas. With a curriculum focus on vision and eye disorders, diseases and misalignments, plus an embedded industry or research honours program, you'll be on track for a career in orthoptics.
All Indian Secondary School Certificate: 75%, Average of best five subjects, VCE Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL. Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in two of Biology, Chemistry, any Mathematics, Physical Education or Physics, IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0,TOEFL ibT of 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, PTE Academic of 50 with no communicative skill score less than 50, CAE/ CPE of 169 with no less than 169 in any component
