This program consists of theoretical and practical content which will develop your skills and enable you to practise as a registered nurse in Australia. Major areas of study include foundational nursing care, acute care nursing, and mental health nursing. Theoretical content is supported with nursing practice laboratories, clinical simulation and clinical practice. Other areas of study include anatomy and physiology and complex care nursing in both acute care and mental health settings with an emphasis on research-based practice.
Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 senior secondary certificate of education or equivalent; Applying to plan code BP032P04: Current Year 12 prerequisites units 1 and 2 - Mathematics (any) or units 3 and 4 - Mathematics (any), and a study score of at least 25 in English (except EAL) or at least 30 in English (EAL), Applying to plan code BP032P04D2: Satisfactory completion of an Australian accredited Diploma of Nursing less than 12 months prior to application OR Satisfactory completion of an Australian accredited Diploma of Nursing more than 12 months but less than 10 years prior to their application and registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; a portfolio; a supplementary information form or pre-selection kit; an interview, IELTS scores.
