RMIT University, often known as the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), is an internationally renowned public research university in Melbourne, Australia.

RMIT University History

RMIT University was founded in 1887 by Francis Ormond as a night school teaching art, science, and technology lectures in response to Australia's industrial boom. It was a private college for over a century before combining with Phillip Institute of Technology in 1992 to become a public university.

RMIT's academic division is separated into colleges/schools, and each college offering a range of programs and courses. The College of Business and Law (BUSL), College of Design and Social Context (DSC), College of Vocational Education, and the STEM College (incorporating the fields of sciences, engineering, computing technologies, and health and medical sciences) (STEM) are the four academic colleges that house RMIT's University.

RMIT University infrastructure & services

RMIT University Campuses

RMIT's main campus is located on the northern edge of Melbourne's historic Hoddle Grid in the city centre. It includes 2 satellite campuses in the city's northern districts of Brunswick and Bundoora, as well as a training facility on the RAAF Williams base in Point Cook's western neighborhood. It also maintains a training facility at Bendigo Airport in the Victorian city of Bendigo, as well as a research facility near the Grampians National Park in Hamilton.

RMIT University Libraries

 RMIT Library is the university's central library network. It is spread among RMIT's three Australian campuses in four locations. Swanston Library, the network's largest, is housed in Building 8 on the City campus. Swanston Library has also been ranked as one of Melbourne's top five libraries.

RMIT University Medical services

The RMIT Health Clinic is a medical clinic for RMIT students. The clinic, which has 62 treatments rooms and incorporates Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, and Psychology, provides excellent levels of care to patients. A fully functional herbal dispensary and consultation rooms with exhaust fans for Moxibustion treatments are among the Chinese Medicine facilities. The Health Clinic has on-site x-ray and rehabilitation facilities to ensure that their patients' requirements are fulfilled.
