This degree covers four main areas of study and includes: 'Acute care' in nursing; this is caring for people who are experiencing a distinct episode of illness, Chronic and aged care' in order to meet the needs of older people we emphasis healthy ageing, as well as chronic and continuing care, 'Community and primary care' working in practices, clinics and in people's homes alongside nurses and other health professionals and 'Mental health' can occur in any setting (hospital or community) with any patient cohort with unique challenges across the life span.
