4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is an innovative four-year dual degree designed for students who want to combine legal expertise with creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and future-focused problem solving. Curriculum Structure
Year 1
In the first year, students establish foundational knowledge in both law and creative intelligence. Subjects such as Foundations of Law, Legal Method and Research, and Torts are combined with introductory Creative Intelligence and Innovation (BCII) subjects focused on creativity, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Year 2
The second year develops core legal competencies alongside innovation thinking. Students study Contract Law, Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law, while participating in BCII challenge-based subjects exploring complex issues through design thinking, creative strategy, and future-oriented analysis.
Year 3
In the third year, students progress into advanced legal studies and interdisciplinary innovation practice. Subjects such as Administrative Law, Property Law, and Corporate Law are paired with BCII transdisciplinary studios where students work with peers from multiple fields on industry and societal challenges.
Year 4
The final year focuses on honours-level legal studies and advanced innovation capability. Students complete electives such as International Law, Equity, and Dispute Resolution, while also undertaking BCII capstone experiences involving leadership, entrepreneurship, creative innovation, and collaborative project development.
