Program Overview

In the Anthropology major you will study the diversity of human cultures in order to answer fundamental human questions like: What is it that makes us human How do culture and society work In the Anthropology major you will be taught by scholars who work in diverse geographical areas, including Australia, Asia and the Pacific. You will be able to study topics including Aboriginal Australia, digital and online anthropology, kinship, childhood and youth, human-animal interactions, sorcery and witchcraft, popular culture, food and drink, health, development and the environment. You will develop anthropological research skills, learn about ethics and be given the opportunity to undertake fieldwork.
