Archaeology is of crucial significance for understanding the human past. It is the only discipline capable of bringing together diverse fields of study such as fieldwork, DNA analysis, archaeobotany, archaezoology, rock art, heritage, dating and a host of cutting-edge technologies. At UWA, Archaeology is taught in class, laboratory and fieldwork units. We host 3 annual fieldschools, hold a Summer School and have an Experimental Farm. With an active focus on research and strong industry links, UWA is also home to Centre of Rock Art Research and Management and is part of the Heritage Studies cluster.
