Curriculum Structure

Year 1:
You begin by building a strong academic foundation in psychology and research, learning how behaviour is studied and understood. Units such as Psychology 1A, Psychology 1B, Foundations of Psychological Research, and Introduction to Research Methods in Psychology, along with Interpersonal Skills and Communication, help you develop analytical thinking, communication, and research basics.

Year 2:
In the second year, your learning becomes more specialised, focusing on human development and research techniques. Subjects like Psychology 2A, Psychology 2B, Developmental Psychology, Qualitative Social Research Methods, and Quantitative Social Research Methods strengthen your ability to analyse behaviour and interpret psychological data.

Year 3:
Your third year focuses on applying psychological knowledge in real-world contexts while deepening theoretical understanding. Year 4 (Honours Year):

You will complete units such as Psychological Interventions, Psychology in Practice, and Professional Orientation (Psychological Assessment), alongside a major research thesis and extended thesis, developing high-level research and professional skills.
