Civil Engineering comprises the conception, design, construction and maintenance of all types of infrastructures necessary for the well-being of people and the development of society.

The course trains engineers to act in the conception and analysis of the viability of an enterprise, in the projects, in the planning and execution of works and in maintenance during the useful life of the work. The civil engineer graduated from UFPE is qualified to work in projects and execution of buildings in general, industrial warehouses, bridges and viaducts, dams, slope containment, water supply, sewage collection and treatment, urban drainage, irrigation, transport in general , highways, ports and airports.
