History graduates can work in research institutions, linked to issues related to historical documentation, artistic and cultural heritage, such as museums and archives. They can participate in cultural and political advisory services; work in the constitution and management of databases, in the organization of archives and in other areas in general linked to the gathering and preservation of information.

The field of work for the graduate is found mainly in activities in the area of education, in public and private networks.The professors responsible for teaching the subjects are mostly from the History Department, which also has a partnership with the Departments of Archeology, Geographic Sciences and Philosophy of the Center for Philosophy and Human Sciences, and also with the Departments of School Administration and Educational Planning, Socio-Philosophical Foundations of Education and Teaching Methods and Techniques of the Education Center.
