The pedagogical project of the UFPE / CAA medical course is based on seven pillars: active learning, integrality of the human being, diversification of environments and use of different pedagogical techniques, learning by doing, interdisciplinarity, permanent curricular improvement and radical social commitment

The medical course gives the professional in the medical field the qualification to practice medicine. The responsibility for the training of doctors at UFPE lies with the Medical Sciences Center - Faculty of Medicine of Recife, with the support of Hospital das Cl nicas, which serves all medical specialties. This professional works in public or private hospitals, private companies, public agencies, outpatient clinics, health centers, emergency rooms, and can also dedicate themselves to research and teaching.
