Mathematics graduates must have a solid technical-scientific background in mathematics that provides an understanding of the historical process of building this knowledge and the foundations of teaching, concerning the principles, concepts and theories, based on scientific and technological advances in this area. In addition, as a teacher of Basic Education, they must be aware of the responsibility in training their students as full citizens.

The Bacharelado aims to train professionals for teaching activity at university level, more specifically the preparation of the mathematician, that is, the future researcher in Mathematics. The Bachelor will be able to continue his studies at the postgraduate level in Master and Doctorate Courses, developing scientific research in the various areas of Mathematics, as well as in Engineering, Economics, Computing, etc. You can also act as: University professor, in companies or industries.

The Licenciatura aims to train education professionals, with mathematical, pedagogical and specific training to work in the institutions of Elementary and High School.
