The Bachelor of Biological Sciences was evaluated in 1996 by the Institutional Evaluation Program of Brazilian Universities - MEC / SESu. The course curriculum underwent a reform in 1999, with the objective of training a highly qualified professional to work in various areas. The biologist is responsible for:Formulate and elaborate basic and applied scientific study, project or research, in the various sectors of Biology or related to it, as well as those related to the preservation, sanitation and improvement of the environment;

The Biological Sciences Degree course, at the Academic Center of Vit ria, aims to train professionals to act in a competent and responsible way as Science and Biology teachers, aiming at an inclusive education with an adequate theoretical-practical foundation in the area. Due to the solid pedagogical training, based on the principles and theories of Biology, the graduate of the Academic Center of Vit ria will also be able to organize, participate and coordinate scientific or basic projects or research, directed to the various sectors related to the area of Science and Biology.
